Jones , Pastor Marvin- (1940-2012) Pastor Marvin passed away peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre and went home to be with the Lord and as he entered the gates he ran into Granny`s arms, home at last on Sunday, April 15, 2012. Loving husband of 52 years to Fern Jones (nee MacWilliam). Dear father of Byron (Lola) and Trevor (Charity). He will be sadly missed by 10 grandchildren Joey (Anneke), Julie (Boerth), Jenna-Lynn (Nero), Tonia (Joey), Amanda (Lance), Tony (Roberta), Jazmin, Elizabeth, Victoria and Georgianna and 7 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Larry McFarlane (Vi), Mel McFarlane (Marg), Tanya Davis (Butch), Chris Talbot, David Talbot, Dennis Wilson, Donna Wilson, David Wilson, Joan Wilson, Anita Wilson, Lee Ann Wilson, Theresa Wilson and Mark Wilson. Also survived by his step-mother Nancy Wilson. Predeceased by his father Irving Wilson, step-father Cliff Talbot, mother Norma Jones and a sister Lori Talbot. He adored and was adored by Aunt Velma and Uncle Joe Haverlock ``thank you``. Donations to Faith Chapel in memory of Pastor Marvin will be gratefully acknowledged by his family. |

Fern Jones ObituaryJones, Fern- (1941-2024) Mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Fern went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday September 4th, 2024 at the age of 83.Predeceased by her husband Marvin Jones. She was the loving mother to Byron Marvin Jones (Lola) and Trevor James Jones (Charity). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Tonia, Amanda, Tony, Jasmine Victoria, Elizabeth, and Georgia. Fern is survived by her siblings Jackie Loucks (Arnold-predeceased) and Albert (Colleen), AnneMarie (a.k.a Cookie) and predeceased by her brothers George, Harold, John, sisters Madeleine and Marg Ott (Art-predeceased). Fern was the owner and operator of Rose Bowl Florist and was also the Pastor at Faith Chapel for many many years. She will be sadly missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Family receiving friends at Faith Chapel, 367 Delaware Ave North Bay on Friday September 6th, 2024 from 7pm until 9pm and on Saturday September 7th from 10am until 12pm. Funeral service will be held at 1:30pm. Donations can be made to Faith Chapel- Haiti Mission in memory of Fern and will greatly appreciated by her family. |
